Fresh China Hong Mei Ren Jelly Orange (红美人 / Red Beauty Citrus) is a ultra-premium hybrid citrus delicacy, famous for its exceptionally delicate skin, seedless interior, incredibly high juice content, and soft, gelatinous pulp that dissolves like jelly in the mouth.

Physical Characteristics

• Size: Medium to large, round to slightly oblate citrus fruit measuring 2.8 to 3.5 inches (7 to 9 cm) in diameter.

• Skin & Surface: Paper-thin, smooth, reddish-orange to deep golden rind that clings lightly to the fruit and requires careful handling.

• Flesh & Seeds: Translucent, deep-orange segmented pulp with virtually invisible cell walls and an almost completely seedless interior.

• Texture: Tender, silky, and jelly-like—the delicate juice sacs melt effortlessly upon light pressure without any chewy membrane residue.

Taste and Culinary Uses

• Flavor: Exceptionally sweet and aromatic with an extraordinarily high Brix rating, low acidity, and a rich, honeyed citrus aroma.

• Culinary Applications: Primarily enjoyed fresh as a luxury dessert fruit, inserted with a straw to drink directly from the peel, or used in high-end fruit platters and artisanal desserts.

• Native Habitat: Originally bred in Japan as the "Ehimemashi 28" hybrid, now cultivated as a flagship luxury crop in coastal eastern China (notably Xiangshan, Zhejiang).

• Cultivation & Sourcing: Grown in temperature-controlled greenhouses under precise irrigation and soil nutrient management, individually protected in cushioned mesh sleeves during harvest, and cold-shipped to prevent bruising of its paper-thin rind.

Notwithstanding anything stated to the contrary, no cancellation or reschedule delivery will be entertained once your orders have been shipped to your shipping address.
