Description

An organic Berangan banana (Musa acuminata 'Pisang Berangan') is a popular Malaysian banana cultivar grown using organic farming methods, prized for its golden skin, firm texture, and richly sweet, aromatic flavor.

Physical Appearance

Fruit: Medium-sized, slightly angular fruits with thick yellow-orange skin that develops distinctive small brown specks as it fully ripens. The internal flesh is firm, orange-yellow to creamy pale, with a pleasantly dry and dense texture.

Foliage and Flowers: Features large, broad, arching green leaves with a prominent midrib, originating from a central trunk-like pseudostem that produces a large, heart-shaped, deep reddish-purple blossom.

Growth Habit: A large, fast-growing herbaceous perennial plant that reaches heights of 8 to 12 feet, forming tight clumps or mats and producing a single large hanging bunch of fruit per stalk.

Habitat and Growth

Origin: Native to Southeast Asia, particularly Malaysia and Indonesia, where it remains one of the most widely cultivated table banana varieties.

Climate: Thrives in hot, humid tropical environments with abundant sunshine, high rainfall, and protection from strong winds.

Soil: Prefers deep, rich, well-draining loamy soil with high organic matter, cultivated without synthetic chemical fertilizers or pesticides.

Uses

Order cancellation & reschedule delivery

Any cancellation of order or reschedule delivery shall be made before 6pm from the same day of placement of your order ("Grace Period") by contacting our customer service officer at veggies.my@gmail.com or our hotline: 016-6505535. Any request for cancellation made or reschedule delivery after the Grace Period will not be entertained.

We reserve the absolute discretion to approve or reject your request for cancellation or reschedule delivery. For any cancellation of your order, you shall be responsible for the payment of an administrative charge, which shall be determined by us prior to your cancellation. Notwithstanding anything stated to the contrary, no cancellation or reschedule delivery will be entertained once your orders have been shipped to your shipping address.
