Organic Cabbage Shoot 200G
Description
-
Plant: Features miniature, loosely-wrapped cone-like clusters or leafy rosettes that sprout along the main stalk after the central primary cabbage head is harvested.
-
Foliage and Stems: The outer leaves are tender, light to lime-green with smooth, crinkled edges, while the inner core and short stems are pale yellow-white, exceptionally succulent, and crisp.
-
Origin: Widely cultivated across temperate and tropical brassica-growing regions, particularly throughout China and Southeast Asia as a high-value secondary harvest.
-
Climate: Thrives in cool-to-mild agricultural microclimates, performing exceptionally well in highland growing regions where lower temperatures encourage high sugar retention in young shoots.
-
Soil: Prefers fertile, rich, well-draining loamy soil high in organic matter and nitrogen, requiring consistent moisture to keep the emerging shoots tender and juicy.
-
Culinary: A sought-after delicacy in Chinese and Southeast Asian cooking; best quick-stir-fried with garlic, ginger, or dried shrimp, blanched and served with oyster sauce, or tossed into clear hot pots and broths where its natural sweetness shines.
-
Nutritional: Abundant in Vitamin C, Vitamin K, dietary fiber, potassium, and beneficial glucosinolates, supporting immune function, cardiovascular health, and healthy digestion.
