Organic Broccoli 300G
Description
-
Plant: Features a large, compact central crown composed of tightly clustered, tree-like dark green florets anchored to a thick, succulent main trunk.
-
Foliage and Stems: The florets are deep emerald green with tiny closed flower buds, while the central stalk and branching stems are sturdy, pale jade-green, crisp, and fully edible when peeled.
-
Origin: Native to the Mediterranean region, widely cultivated globally across temperate agricultural zones and tropical highland valleys.
-
Climate: Thrives in cool, temperate microclimates (15°C to 20°C) or highland tropical growing areas (such as Cameron Highlands); sensitive to prolonged extreme lowland heat, which causes florets to loosen and flower prematurely.
-
Soil: Prefers rich, deep, well-draining loamy soil with abundant organic matter and a slightly acidic to neutral pH (6.0–6.8), requiring consistent soil moisture for dense crown development.
-
Culinary: Highly versatile; commonly stir-fried with garlic and beef or seafood, steamed as a healthy side dish, blanched for cold salads, roasted with olive oil, or blended into creamy vegetable soups.
-
Nutritional: Exceptionally rich in Vitamin C, Vitamin K, Vitamin A, folate, potassium, and sulforaphane (a powerful glucosinolate compound), supporting cellular defense, immune health, and bone strength.
